All SDCC attendees, or even visitors without SDCC badges, look forward to the offsite playground that is NerdHQ, and the chance to grab a seat to one of the many Conversation for a Cause panels. These were ‘hot tickets’ and extremely difficult to get your hands on. Thousands of fans clamored for about 200 seats. Tickets sold out lightning fast! Ticket cost was $22 each, and all proceeds benefit the efforts of Operation Smile. This year showcased the casts of USA’s Colony, Orphan Black, Teen Wolf, Supernatural and many more. Check out the full list of panels for 2016.
This was the 5th year for Conversation for a Cause and I attended the Stephen Amell panel. In the small intimate setting, his fans were just a scant few feet from the star, able to to ask questions and even hand him gifts. Watch the full panel below:
After Amell’s panel, he donated time to take pictures with the many fans lined up outside of the venue (all the way around the corner!). A photo with Stephen Amell was $20, cash only. All proceeds benefited the Johnson & Johnson Donate a Photo program. Of course I took full advantage – it’s for a good cause!
