Atlus Strict About ‘Persona 5’ Streaming

Atlus has stated that there are several rules which must be followed when sharing Persona 5 content. Such rules include the following:

  • No streaming of content past July 7 within the game.
  • Videos must be no longer than 90 minutes.
  • Endings to dungeons must not be posted.
  • Only talk about the game in “broad strokes”.

Atlus issued a warning that streamers who decide to continue past the in-game July 7 date do so at the risk of being issued a content ID claim, a channel strike, or complete account suspension. Additionally, the PlayStation 4’s share button is disabled through most of the game, which means that screenshots and video clips cannot be posted directly from the console to social media.

The rules and guidelines are in place because Atlus does not want any players to have their game experience to be spoiled by others. The game’s development took several years before it was ready for release, so Atlus wants to be sure that fans can play through the game without knowing what waits around every last corner.

A complete list of the rules and recommendations can be found on the official Atlus website. If you are a video content creator or streamer, it is highly recommended that you view Atlus’ rules before sharing your Persona 5 gameplay.
