HorrorConUK 2017 is Coming Up in May!

Calling all Horror fans! HorrorConUK 2017 is fast approaching and it couldn’t be more exciting! Whether you live locally to the area or simply enjoy being around fellow Horror fans, this looks to be the event for you.

Alongside the list of incredible guests this event has gathered, there are a number of competitions and projects guaranteed to have fans of all creed salivating at the prospect of what it is on offer.

HorrorConUK is set to host its third convention in as many years on 13th and 14th May with over 4000 people expected to attend and a host of special horror guests. Guests announced include:

John Jarrett from the Wolf Creek film and TV franchise.

Sid Haig – best known for his role as killer clown Captain Spaulding in The Devils Rejects.

Cassandra Peterson – AKA Elvira Mistress of the Dark.

Classical character actor David Warner of The Omen

As well as Linda Hayden of Blood on Satan’s Claw and genre illustrator Graham Humphreys.

In addition, pop culture expert Sir Christopher Frayling will be giving a talk on ‘Vampyres: The First 200 years’, and extreme horror author Matt Shaw will bring Chewy The Pug for her convention debut.

As if this wasn’t enough the latest guest to be announced is Heather Langenkamp, better known as A Nightmare on Elm Street’s heroine and Freddy Krueger’s nemesis Nancy Thompson. Horror Host Bunny Galore will also be in attendance again hosting the Scareplay Costume Competition.

“When we first launched HorrorConUK in 2015 we totally believed that UK horror lovers needed an event that brought new and exciting horror guests together in this country, within an immersive horror setting – everything at HorrorConUK is horror! Our attendees are completely horror crazy but seriously you couldn’t find a friendlier crowd at a convention! Judging by ticket sales so far we have definitely hit the nail on the head this year!”

Magna is a Science and Adventure tourist attraction. It’s an old Steelworks, with high ceilings, industrial darkness and general atmosphere that lends itself to be an ideal venue for HorrorConUK.
The first HorrorConUK event was held at Magna in 2015
2016 saw over 4000 attendees and tickets for 2017 are already selling faster than last year.
