Netflix Announces ‘WEDNESDAY’ A New Series from Tim Burton

WEDNESDAY ADDAMS TAKES CENTER STAGE IN WEDNESDAY, AN ALL-NEW NETFLIX SERIES 

Creative visionary Tim Burton makes his directorial TV debut, with creators Al Gough and Miles Millar serving as showrunners of the new series from MGM/UA Television

  • Netflix announced today a new live-action coming-of-age comedy Wednesday, based on Wednesday Addams, one of the world’s most enduring pop cultural icons. 
  • The character has been portrayed in television, film, video games and even musicals, but Wednesday has always been part of The Addams Family ensemble until now — in her first young adult television series.
  • Logline: The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
