READY PLAYER ONE – First Trailer Reveal at SDCC

Warner Bros. has taken over Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this morning and first out of the gate is a brand new teaser trailer for their upcoming Steven Spielberg directed film Ready Player One. Strap on and LOG IN! A Delorean, The Iron Giant, how many pop culture references will you find in this first trailer?

Based on the 2011 science-fiction novel, and the debut novel of the same name by Ernest Cline. The story, set in a dystopian 2044, follows protagonist Wade Watts as he searches for an easter egg in a virtual reality game; the discovery of which will lead him to inherit a valuable fortune in a world torn by an energy crisis.

The film is co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Ernest Cline, Eric Eason, and Zak Penn. It stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, Mark Rylance, Simon Pegg, and T. J. Miller.
