The Flash Season 3 Poster Promises ‘New Destinies’ and ‘New Dangers’

The CW unveiled a new poster today for the upcoming third season of The Flash. Comic book purists take note as it appears from the image that Barry Allen’s costume may be looking a bit brighter than we’ve previously seen in the past. Some have speculated that it it bears a striking resemblance to the costume from the “future newspaper” seen in the pilot episode which announced the disappearance of the future Flash.

The first episode of Season 3 teases serious repercussions for our favorite speedster after the actions of the Season 2 finale. Barry used his abilities to travel back in time, preventing his mother’s murder and thus creating a timeline split. With the profound title ‘Flashpoint’ which hints at the 2011 comic book story arc of the same name, and the implications of this poster’s tagline: “New Destinies. New Dangers,” it is safe to assume that Barry is in for a wild ride in Season 3. Strap in!

The Flash returns Tuesday, October 4, 8 p.m. ET/PT to The CW.
