The ambitious Warcraft Tales project has been cancelled before it could even start. The add-on being developed by YouTuber BellularGaming would alter many parts of the early questing experience. Had the add-on been created to simply display the existing quest text in a different way with a voiceover, the add-on would have been allowed to launch. However, Blizzard Entertainment does not approve of any add-ons which change the story or in-game content.
It is unfortunate that Warcraft Tales will not be released, but there are some great alternatives that are out already. While they may not offer voice acting, questing add-ons such as Immersion or Storyline provide better ways to view quests within World of Warcraft. These add-ons break the quest text up into smaller pieces, saving players from reading a boring looking wall of text.
