Atlanta, GA – October 29, 2024 — Team Nerds Unite, a passionate community of gamers, streamers, and advocates for children’s health, is thrilled to announce its annual Extra Life fundraiser stream train, set for Friday, November 8 through Sunday, November 10, 2024. Across the weekend, team members will host a live charity stream on Twitch.tv/team/nerdsunite, rallying viewers worldwide to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
What is Extra Life?
Extra Life unites thousands of gamers in a shared mission: to help sick and injured kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. As a fundraising program of CMN Hospitals, Extra Life provides critical support for pediatric treatments, healthcare services, and child life programs that benefit children across North America. Team Nerds Unite is proud to be part of this global movement and invites you to help make a difference, one game at a time.
How Can You Participate?
Throughout the event, Team Nerds Unite’s members will be playing an exciting lineup of video and tabletop games while engaging viewers with special activities, challenges, and opportunities to win prizes! The team has collaborated with companies and sponsors who’ve generously donated prizes, ensuring that donors can be recognized with giveaways and auction items. Every dollar donated goes directly to CMN Hospitals, supporting essential services and innovative research for children in need.
Viewers can also help by sharing Team Nerds Unite’s links with family and friends to spread the word and encourage others to tune in or donate. Meet the Team
Comprised of 15-30 passionate members each year, Team Nerds Unite features gamers from all over who come together to livestream for this cause. Each member brings their unique flair to the event, with some streaming gameplay on Twitch, and others lending their talents and social platforms to promote the fundraiser. I will be joining the stream train on Sunday, November 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Eastern), and will raid into the team leader Sully’s stream to wrap up the weekend’s fundraising.
