You ever have a friend you were intensely close to, and you kept in touch? Or maybe you fell out of touch, rediscovered your friend some ten years later, hook up on Facebook, and the relationship seems to be built on fun, humor, or some giggles, and nothing else? You begin to suspect it’s nothing else because this friend refuses to have serious conversations with you, or will not accept you as anything other than a source of jocularity. One day, you have a disagreement, and the next thing you know, you’ve been all but erased from their lives, but they won’t unfriend you. It’s called “ghosting” and it hurts.
David Lawler and his 13-year-old daughter, Regan, discuss the pop culture and, more specifically, what the kids are doing. Whatever you think you know about kids and the younger set, you’re probably wrong, and this podcast will help you.
