FIRST LOOK: Jodie Whittaker as DOCTOR WHO

The first official photo of Jodie Whittaker as she will appear in Doctor Who has been released. The Broadchurch actress stands tall in cropped teal pants, striped sweater, yellow suspenders, and boots under a long trench coat. Whittaker is seen standing in front of the Tardis.

Filming of the new season of “Doctor Who” is currently underway. Whittaker replaces Peter Capaldi and is the first woman to permanently land the role of the Time Lord. She will make her debut on screen when the Doctor regenerates in the Christmas special this December. She will be joined in the cast by Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill and Sharon D Clarke.
