The show will be spearheaded by Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, Marvel Television and ABC Signature.
“I’m a long-time fan of Runaways and couldn’t be more excited to bring Brian and Adrian’s characters to life,” said Schwartz.
Schwartz and Savage will serve as showrunners, they’ll also executive produce with Geoff Loeb (Marvel’s Head of Television) and Jim Chory. Fake Empire’s Lis Rowinski will also produce. The order is for a pilot plus additional scripts with an eye toward a full-season greenlight.
