TRAILERS: CHILD’S PLAY (2019)

A remake and reboot of the 1988 film of the same name and the decades-long film franchise that followed, Child’s Play is an upcoming American slasher film which follows an updated plot similar to the original. Enjoy the official trailer above, made all the creepier by the addition of Harry Nilsson’s “Best Friend” theme song eerily wafting throughout. The song was originally written and recorded for ABC’s 1969 sitcom “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.”

Official Synopsis: The story follows a mother named Karen who gives her son Andy a toy doll, Chucky, though both aren’t aware of its evil nature.

Directed By: Lars Klevberg, written by Tyler Burton Smith.

Starring: Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry, Tim Matheson, and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky.

Release Date: Set for release on June 21, 2019.
