Finally! Mods for Skyrim, Fallout 4 on PS4

elderscrollspost

Modding ability is arguably one of the most quintessential features when playing Bethesda games. Large-scale, open world games are notorious for game-breaking bugs and glitches no matter the developer. Fans often take it upon themselves to fix problems with game modifications until an official patch is released that finally repairs the issue. In addition, mods can enhance gameplay immersion and sometimes can even change the gameplay entirely. Skyrim, for example, has mods that cause cold temperatures to have effects on the playable character which can lead to the character’s death if the player does not find a warm shelter in time.

At long last, PlayStation fans will soon be able to modify Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, much like their PC-using counterparts. The only drawback is that the mods must use pre-existing assets from the games. However, many of the most popular mods for these games are already using game assets in the PC version, so this means that PlayStation owners may finally be able to enjoy a great deal of the same mods that the PC players are using.
