Day 3 at MomoCon 2017 started off with panel Women in Comics, Afua Richardson (Attack on Titan, Black Panther, All-Star Batman), Babs Tarr (Batgirl, Motor Crush), and Carrie Tupper & Havana Nguyen’s Kamikaze (Vol. 2 is currently a Kickstarter.) give their tales and tribulations on working in the field they love.
Later in the afternoon, we filmed a conversation with veteran voice actors Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche in the Momocon Media Room. Take a look at the Periscope footage.
A highlight of the day Square Enix Senior Game Designer Takatsugu Nakazawa discussed the various decisions that were made in creating the latest installment of the Final Fantasy series.
An Overwatch voice actors panel happened today on the Main Stage thanks to Blizzard Games. It featured Charlet Chung (D. Va), Matthew Mercer (McCree), Jonny Cruz (Lucio) and Fred Tatasciore (Soldier 76), with lead writer Michael Chu moderating. Other notable panels today included the Co-Optional Lounge featuring TotalBiscuit, Dodger and Jesse Cox on the Main Stage and Special Voice Guests from Steven Universe.

There was a late morning PC Overwatch tournament where $3,500 in prizes was awarded to the top winners. Super Smash Bros 4 and Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments continued to heat up as top players ZeRo, Abadango, Nairo, Fatality and were battling for a Sunday spot in the Top 8 brackets. The following games had pot bonuses and support provided by UGL Gaming: Injustice 2, Brawlhalla, King of Fighters 14, Nitroplus Blasterz, Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Ignition and Melty Blood: Actress Again Current Code. Also taking place tonight was the third annual Indie Game Awards Showcase hosted by Marisha Ray of Critical Role.
Once again MomoCon is throwing an all-ages rave Saturday night. Musical guests include S3RL, DJ Dynamic, Kassy Nova, DJ Perihelion and Macroid.
