Thank you for visiting! I am excited to introduce you to our website. This is where the Second Union team and I will work hard to bring you the latest information and updates regarding your favorite pop culture and genre fare. This is where you’ll find original content and points of view you won’t find anywhere else on the web. Our goal is to become your favorite pop culture/entertainment news website on the internet.
What does Second Union mean to us? Quite simply, a place to belong. We’re everyday people just like you with jobs, families and hectic schedules, who happen to enjoy pop culture and all that it entails. Our interests include comics/graphic novels, music, movies, television, video games, toys and collectibles. Really, so much of what you would consider the fabric of our collective experience.
A look back: Humble Beginnings
In the beginning, Second Union started out very differently. It was originally a Tumblr page I’d developed where my friends and I could post pop culture related images we’d come across, liked and wanted to share. It became somewhat of an amazing pop culture mosaic. Fast forward three years and a few of us found ourselves discussing plans to evolve that simple Tumblr page into something else entirely. From those conversations, the current Second Union was born.
A look ahead: Fostering a New Era for Second Union
We’re hopeful that we’ll see real growth with this website and we’ll be successful in finding new and innovative ways to reach our proposed target audience. One of the ways we intend to do this is by holding regular giveaways and contests. We’re really excited to get started with them!
Something else we’ll be developing is a podcast where we’ll be able to connect with our target audience in a completely different way. There’s something very cool about putting yourself out there in this way, and giving voice to your interests and opinions. This is something we’re also super excited to get started with!
