This Halloween season, it’s time to look fear in the face.
Warner Brothers and DC Studios have released the newest trailer for Clayface, the latest film in the newly rebooted DC Universe. Directed by James Watkins (2024’s Speak No Evil), the film follows actor Matt Hagan as he becomes the monstrous Clayface (a being made entirely out of clay) after a science experiment stripped him of his identity.
Interestingly, “Clayface” is the first major cinematic project in James Gunn’s DC Cinematic Universe to focus on a member of the classic Batman “Rogues Gallery.” The cast stars Tom Rhys-Harries as Matt Hagan, and Naomi Ackie (Mickey 17) as his love interest, “fringe” scientist Dr Catlin Corr. Max Minghella (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Ackie’s love interest, Gotham police detective John Borelli. The film also features Eddie Marsan (Atomic Blonde), David Dencik (No Time to Die), and Nancy Carroll among others in roles yet to be determined.
Just in time for the Halloween season, Clayface releases exclusively in theaters on October 23rd, 2026. Check out the new trailer above and the recent poster below.
