That small downtown apartment might look like a cozy place for your single sim to decorate in cutesy things, but with it comes leaky plumbing, rats, and sudden power outages. When your sim finds their soulmate and starts a family, you’ll want to move your sims to an apartment closer to good schools in order to get a big grade boost for your favourite sim’s offspring. Finally, if you’re tired of the pre-made apartment layouts, you’re going to have to save up the cash for the penthouse suite so you can design the apartment of your dreams.

This new form of gameplay sounds like a lot of fun, but it won’t be for everyone. Some players will want to keep that cozy bachelor pad with all of the penthouse perks. These players will definitely make great use of cheat codes and mods created by resourceful custom content creators. The game mods for apartment expansions in the past have been especially creative for completely customized apartment buildings, so it will be exciting to see what fans can cook up for the City Living expansion.
