Netflix has announced its upcoming show lineup and a new Castlevania project was revealed for a 2017 release. The Castlevania video game series started in 1986 on the NES. The series currently consists of 21 games within the two canonical series and 11 more games which are non-canonical. The games typically feature monsters from iconic horror films such as Frankenstein’s monster, werewolves, and mummies, but most of the franchise has focused on vampire monsters. Therefore, the Castlevania Netflix show is likely to feature a cast of vampire hunters who are a part of the Belmont family from the games (or at least be their descendants) and the character Dracula is also very likely to appear.
