In the same week of the BBC announcing Jodie Whittaker as the 13th Doctor, it has now been revealed that Georgia Moffett will reprise her role from the 2008 episode “The Doctor’s Daughter” in a series of audio only adventures.
In case you can’t remember, in “The Doctor’s Daughter”, the DNA of David Tennant’s Doctor was forcibly cloned to create a soldier able to assist in a war ravaging a human colonization. Throughout the episode, Tennant resents the malicious nature of Moffet without acknowledging her true potential. This is however amended when Jenny nobly sacrifices herself to protect her reluctant “Father” from imminent death. Her sacrifice is short lived though as she is seen leaving the planet on a Spaceship to face the world ahead of her.
Moffett, real life daughter of former Doctor Peter Davison and wife of fan favorite David Tennant, will star alongside Sean Biggerstaff, most commonly known for playing Oliver Wood in the Harry Potter franchise. Biggerstaff will play her male companion in the same vein as her “Father’s” adventures.
Release is expected at the end of 2017 with no media outlet yet announced
