Players can make friends with a hippogryph hatchling today in World of Warcraft. The micro-holiday event is called Hatching of the Hippogryphs and it will end once the day is over. Players will need to visit Frayfeather Highlands in Feralas where Frayfeather Hippogryph Hatchlings are waiting to break out of their eggs. The eggs do not need to be clicked and there is no quest that needs to be accepted. Players simply need to stand near the eggs and wait for a moment. After obtaining a hatchling friend and locating a level 110 elite mob, players can obtain a loot item that will allow them to keep their new friend for up to five days, rather than just the original 24 hours.
As a micro-holiday event, there is no loot you’d miss out on or mounts and pets that you may never have a chance to collect if you don’t take part. The event is just a fun little way to bring something interesting to the world and it offers a break to the usual grind.
