Bucket Listers Introduces a Retro Dreamland Pop-Up Experience with Dining, Skating, and 21+ After-Con Parties
San Diego, CA – July 2025 — Get ready to live out your pinkest dreams as Malibu Barbie Cafe makes waves in San Diego just in time for Comic-Con International! Presented by experiential platform Bucket Listers, this all-ages pop-up is a vibrant celebration of the iconic Malibu Barbie lifestyle—complete with beachy vibes, delicious food, immersive photo ops, and more.
Located at 2137 Pacific Hwy, Malibu Barbie Cafe runs for a limited time with multiple time slots daily. Tickets start at $25.15 per person (including fees) and include a 90-minute reservation, $10 food credit, and $5 merchandise credit. Children under 2 are free. Guests will enjoy a laid-back, retro-glam atmosphere inspired by 1970s Malibu California, filled with Barbie core aesthetics, themed seating areas, and a life-size Barbie Box perfect for photo ops.
Chef Becky Brown, MasterChef finalist, has curated a menu full of nostalgic, feel-good fare designed to appeal to Barbie fans of all ages.
New Addition: Barbie After Con – 21+ Experience
Running Wednesday, July 23 through Saturday, July 26, the Cafe will host Barbie After Con: special 21+ late-night sessions beginning at 7:00 PM for $24.10 (including fees). Guests will receive:
- A Welcome Drink
- An exclusive Barbie-themed trinket
- Access to the pop-up’s immersive experience after hours
Skate for a Cause – Barbie x Impala Skate Rink
For just $1, guests can lace up and glide through Barbie’s world at the Barbie x Impala Skate Rink—with all proceeds benefitting Girls Inc. of San Diego, an organization that empowers young girls with resources in STEM, life skills, and creative arts. (Note: Socks required to skate and available for purchase on-site.)
