A live-action Monster Hunter movie was recently announced by Capcom at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show. The Monster Hunter video game series allows players to take control of a hunter who must unlock a multitude of traps, armour, weapons, and items in order to vanquish their large prey. The first game was released on PlayStation 2 and the series continues to be updated with new monsters, items, and features in each new iteration. The game is known to be quite difficult and mastering the game can take a great deal of practice. Thankfully, some versions of the game have allowed multi-player gameplay so that hunters do not have to venture out into the wilderness alone.
There is no word yet on when the movie can be expected in theatres, but it is almost guaranteed to have a fair quantity of colossal CGI creatures and larger-than-life weaponry.
