The first trailer has dropped for the upcoming feature film Ocean’s 8. Ocean’s 8 is a new Ocean’s Eleven spin-off with an all-female cast led by Sandra Bullock. It is both a sequel to and spin-off from the Ocean’s Trilogy(2001 to 2007) with George Clooney. The first of which, Ocean’s Eleven (2001) was a remake of the 1960 film of the same name.
Official Synopsis: Danny Ocean’s estranged sister Debbie attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou, Rose, Daphne Kluger, Nine Ball, Tammy, Amita, and Constance.
Directed by: Gary Ross and written by Ross and Olivia Milch, from a story by Ross.
Starring: Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Danny Ocean’s estranged sister, Cate Blanchett as Lou, Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger, Mindy Kaling as Amita, Sarah Paulson as Tammy, Rihanna as Nine Ball, Helena Bonham Carter as Rose, Awkwafina as Constance, Damian Lewis as the main villain, Debbie’s ex-lover and the target of the gang’s robbery, Richard Armitage as Claude Becker, an art curator and James Corden.
Dakota Fanning will appear in an undisclosed role. Matt Damon and Carl Reiner reprise their roles as Linus Caldwell and Saul Bloom from the Ocean’s Trilogy in cameo appearances. Anna Wintour, Alexander Wang, Kim Kardashian, Maria Sharapova, Derek Blasberg, Lauren Santo Domingo, Zayn Malik, Kendall Jenner, Katie Holmes, Olivia Munn, Adriana Lima, Hailey Baldwin, Serena Williams, Kylie Jenner and Zac Posen will make cameo appearances in the film.
