Walker Stalker Con Atlanta 2016: A Recap

This past weekend in Atlanta, THE ultimate Walking Dead fan experience happened. October 28, 29 and 30th was the 4th Annual Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta hosted at the Georgia World Congress Center, and founded by The Walker Stalkers Podcast.

There were lots of activities: panels, photo-ops, vendors, a kids zone and even floor attractions like The Walking Dead Experience, a 30-minute full-throttle immersion attraction.

Throughout the weekend there was a multitude of panels hosted in the Thomas Murphy Ballroom. Favorites included ‘It’s Negan’, with panel guests Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Greg Nicotero; ‘Jesus Lives!’, with Tom Payne (Jesus); and ‘Group Therapy’, with Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Lauren Cohen (Maggie), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Christian Serratos (Rosita), and Alanna Masterson (Tara).

This Con isn’t just for TWD fans. There was a Sons of Anarchy panel, with guests Tommy Flanagan (Chibs), Ron Perlman (Clay) and Ryan Hurst (Opie). As well as a Vikings panel with Clive James Standen (Rollo). The new Cinemax show (and Robert Kirkman creation) Outcast was also represented. The panel included Patrick Fugit (Kyle), Wrenn Schmidt (Megan) and Reg E. Cathey (Chief Gyles).

Walker Stalker Con continues its tour with the next stop being Charlotte, NC December 17 and 18th. The 2017 tour schedule has already shaped up with a stop in London March 4th and 5th 2017. However, as The Walking Dead is filmed in Senoia, Georgia, the Atlanta stop will historically always have the biggest guests list. See you next year!

It will feature cast and crew members including Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Tom Payne, Greg Nicotero, and Michael Traynor.

A collaboration between Sixthman, Skybound, and Walker Stalker Con, the Walker Stalker Cruise will take place Friday, February 3rd to Monday, February 6th aboard the Norwegian Pearl and will set sail from Miami and stop in the Bahamas before returning to Florida. Reserve your cabin now!
