The first wave of new Xbox One features for the Windows 10 Creators Update is going out today. Currently, this update is only available to the Xbox Insider Program members. The update features significant quality of life improvements which include UI improvements, more detailed guides, and a new way for the console to multitask.

One of these new features, dubbed “Copilot”, is specifically designed to give some gamers a bit of extra help with their play sessions. This Copilot feature allows two controllers to act as if they were one unit. This means that two players can have a cooperative experience for any game. Additionally, Xbox One players who need unique configurations (such as people with physical impairments) will soon be able to use two controllers simultaneously or receive some extra help for a fellow gamer. Gamers with visual or hearing impairments will also find some great improvements thanks to Magnifier, Narrator, and audio output enhancements. Users will also be able to set custom rumble settings on a controller, which was previously only available on the Xbox Elite controller.

This new update is going to change a lot of gamer’s lives for the better. It is a critical step in the right direction to help make video games more accessible for everyone to enjoy.
