Every Wednesday the comic book Gods and Goddesses bless us with brand new books from our favorite series! Here are some of the books that have caught my attention and make me eager to run down to my LCS:
Reborn #1 – This brand new series comes from two of comic book’s most legendary heavyweights, Mark Millar and Greg Capullo. The names on this book alone are enough to peak any comic book fan’s interest. This new fantasy series reimagines what happens when we die and propels us into an adventure through the afterlife. You’ll want to grab this book, trust me!
Monstress #7 – Monstress, written by Marjorie Liu, is finally back with a new story arc! This book introduced us to a totally original fantasy world filled with magic, ancient beast, tantalizing creatures, and rich characters. Follow Maika, Kippa, and Ren as they embark on a new journey fraught with danger and shrouded in mystery. Not only is this an amazing story with some incredibly diverse characters, it is illustrated with some of the best artwork in modern comic books. You are not going to want to miss this!
The Clone Conspiracy #1 – The next big event for Spiderman is here! This new Spidey series will unveil secrets from the past; as well as, bring in all the villains you know and love! Villains like The Jackal, Rhino, the Lizard, Electro and Doctor Octopus will work together, but what are they planning? This will be an important series for all you Spidey fans so pick up this book and find out what happens!
Darth Vader #25 – This is it Star Wars fans! The final issue of Darth Vader! Upon the release of The Force Awakens, Marvel pumped out an abundance of new Star Wars books and solo series. Darth Vader has been amongst the most popular of the bunch. This series brought us closer to Vader than ever, and now it comes to a close. You definitely don’t want to miss this epic finale!
Wonder Woman #8 – In anticipation for the new Wonder Woman movie, DC Rebirth has given us a refresher on Wonder Woman’s origin story and pieced it together with another Rebirth storyline. We learn about where she came from, her motivations, and the origins of other main characters like Cheetah and Steve Trevor. This Rebirth story is one of my favorites and it continues to impress and entertain me. Be sure to pick up Wonder Woman #8 today!
