Overwatch has a brand new event which allows players to experience a moment in history before Overwatch’s fall. The event will be very exciting for fans who are interested in learning more about Overwatch‘s lore. It takes place seven years ago when the heroes were on a vital mission to stop an omnic uprising in King’s Row. The character Tracer was just a new recruit during this time, which means she’ll be receiving more background story. Additionally, more information for Widowmaker has also been unveiled which explains why her skin is purple.

While the event mainly focuses on Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, and Mercy, other updates were included in the event for additional characters. Several heroes received new skins which fit the blue and purple theme of the event, Torbjörn, D.Va, and Zenyatta received new highlight intros, and Hanzo, Soldier: 76, and Pharah received new emotes. Additional cosmetic items are also available in the loot boxes acquired during the event.
