PEACOCK AND NBC ARE ENSURING FANS DON’T MISS A MOMENT OF THE HISTORIC PARIS OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONY WITH A LIVESTREAM AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON
Set in Ancient Rome, the new Peacock Original series Those About to Die takes audiences back to the origins of arena sports. Just as guests will have the opportunity to experience the thrill of a chariot race for themselves at Peacock’s fan activation at San Diego Comic-Con, the 2024 Olympic Games will begin in Paris, France. To kick off this fortuitous moment and bridge live-action sports from the past with the present, Peacock and NBC will stunt the Opening Ceremony on Friday morning, July 26th with a public viewing using a 20×30 foot digital board to livestream Peacock’s feed. The excitement will kick off with an Ancient Roman-dressed band playing Olympic-inspired fanfare tunes marching through the Gaslamp District. The band will arrive at Peacock’s activation footprint, in front of the “Circus Maximus,” just in time for the Ceremony to begin, drawing in passersby along the way. The full duration of the Opening Ceremony will be live-streamed, from 10:30 am PT – 3 pm PT.
