Rebel Wilson trades in her comedic chops for combat skills in the newly released teaser trailer for Bride Hard, an action-comedy set to hit theaters on June 20, 2025.

Directed by Simon West (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), the film follows Sam (Wilson), a secret agent who takes on the role of maid of honor at her childhood best friend’s destination wedding. The festivities take a turn when a group of mercenaries crashes the party, taking guests hostage. Sam must navigate high-maintenance bridesmaids and high-stakes combat, all while keeping her cover intact.

The ensemble cast includes Anna Camp, reuniting with Wilson from their Pitch Perfect days, along with Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley. The film blends humor and action, featuring scenes where Wilson’s character uses unconventional weapons like curling irons as makeshift nunchucks.

Bride Hard is produced by Magenta Light Studios, with a screenplay by Shaina Steinberg and a story by CeCe Pleasants Adams and Steinberg. The film’s score is composed by Ryan Shore.
