Following a virtual event in 2020, the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo (SFGE) returns in person to host our eighth annual event August 20-22, 2021! Atlanta’s homegrown convention focused entirely on gaming anticipates over 5,000 attendees and features many new and exciting games and events. With over 100,000 square feet of exhibit space in the Cobb Galleria Centre and Renaissance Waverly Hotel & Convention Center, guests attending SFGE can enjoy a library of hundreds of tabletop board games, over 75 vendors and exhibitors, special guests, captivating live events, and over 250 full-sized arcade games and pinball machines in what is, for one weekend each year, “Georgia’s Largest Arcade.”

• The Vintage Computer Festival Southeast 8.0: Experience technologies, people, and stories that embody the remarkable tale of computer revolution as SFGE partners with the Atlanta Historical Computing Society to sponsor and host this bonus hands-on event FREE with a regular SFGE membership.
• Prestige Pinball: In addition to the classic bells and chimes of vintage pinball machines in our gaming hall, SFGE is pleased to host distributors Classic Game Rooms and Marco Specialties as they bring 45 of the latest, brand new titles–including the just-released Star Wars game, The Mandalorian, by Stern Pinball. Additionally, SFGE will host one of the first large-scale competitive pinball tournaments since the start of the pandemic sanctioned by the International Flipper Pinball Association, pitting some of the best players in the world and newcomers alike against each other for prize money and pinball dominance.
• “Hot” Live Events: We’re thrilled to heat things up with the return of marquee live events like our HOTlanta Extreme Eating Challenge which challenges six contestants to see how long they can withstand the heat of some of the world’s hottest peppers. If you want to heat up the dance floor, then be sure to attend our Saturday night ’80s Prom with live music from Members Only! Other fun events include hilarious live stand-up comedy, live game shows, and of course, 2 nights of professional wrestling from Atlanta Wrestling Entertainment!
