Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, here’s an exclusive first look at Superman in Season 2 of Supergirl. During the season premiere of Supergirl (which will be airing on its new home, The CW), Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) team up for the first time.
EW got some background info on the relationship of the two characters in a unique interview with executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, “The two of them actually show up to the same crisis…It’s not a turf war, they just both heard about the same tragedy on the news and both flew into action.”
With Superman now in the Supergirl world, the cousins get to mix and mingle. “They haven’t really gotten a chance to spend time together, especially since she’s come out as Supergirl, and they both want that,” Kreisberg says. “Both of them have a bit of sadness about them — they both have that sense of feeling alone, they both have that sense of feeling different — and both of them remark that that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together.”
Check out the exclusive clip above. Mark your calendars, Supergirl returns Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
